Each individual has a unique ‘language' called its
idiolect. No two individuals have the exact same idiolect.

Idiolects cluster into dialects which characterize speakers from a certain region, village/town,neighborhood or social class.

Dialects have sometimes names (after a region or village/town).Dialects refer to differences in intonation and pronunciation.

The recent Census numbers clearly show that the Latino community drives America’s growth, and its future” . This growth will have social-economic, political and demographic impact across the country.

The Hispanic population in april 2010 was 50.5 million, representing 16.3 percent of the total population.

The increase between 2000 and 2010 has been 15.2 million ( population) according to the United States Census 2010.

In Connecticut, the Hispanic population has grown larger than the African American community to 13.4 percent of the population according to the 2010 Census. In the 1990's, four of five Hispanics in Hartford County were Puerto Rican.

Now, Hispanics from other Latin American countries including Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, etc. make up more than one-third of Hartford's population.
